The Beyond won the Best VFX Award at the Berlin Sci-Fi Filmfest 2017.
Filmmore proudly worked on heavy VFX scenes in this movie – raising the bar by bringing a photorealistic computer-generated character to life. Set in 2019, The Beyond chronicles the groundbreaking mission which sent astronauts – modified with advanced robotics, through a newly discovered wormhole known as the Void. When the mission returns unexpectedly, the space agency races to discover what the astronauts encountered on their first of its kind interstellar space journey.
Animated robots, overwhelming snowstorms, full CG horror creatures and historical landscapes are among the key visual effects of Filmmore last year. Filmmore topped the competitive field of films that featured visual effects in the Dutch market. Hasraf Dullul’s The Beyond was just one of them.
