The big winner on this years edition of the European Film Awards was ‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’ by Jasmila Žbanić. The film was awarded for Best European Director, Best European Actress and Best European Film.
More than 150 VFX shots were created by Filmmore’s VFX department, lead by VFX Supervisor Stefan Beekhuijzen. Handling crowd duplication shots by creating 25,000 people, building full CG environments, 3D photorealistic tanks and crafting post-war matte paintings were done throughout the whole film to achieve the historical accuracy and photorealism desired.
