BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS tells the story about the turbulent life of the famous Dutch folk singer André Hazes.

In this emotional, moving and humoristic film, the three most important fases of his life are being told; his tough youth and the discovery of his talent as an 8-year-old rascal on the Albert Cuypmarkt by Johnny Kraaykamp in the ’60, his friendship with producer Tim Griek and his success with hits as ‘Zeg Maar Niets Meer’, ‘Een Beetje Verliefd’ and ‘Ik Meen ‘t’ in the 80’s and the aftermath of his career in 2004.

In this last fase right before his death, he struggles with his past, his deteriotating hearing and his alcohol addiction.
