October 4, 1992. A disaster strikes in Amsterdam’s Bijlmermeer: an El Al cargo plane crashes into two overcrowded apartment blocks. The Netherlands is instantly world news. While the Bijlmer mourns and the government insists that the disaster flight only transported innocent cargo, vet Asha Willems and Trouw journalist Vincent Dekker begin to suspect that there is more going on.
